Scott Stevens

Pastor Scott Stevens is the Lead Pastor at North Way Christian Community.  Since assuming the role as Lead Pastor in 2011, Scott has been instrumental in establishing the church’s strategic vision and future direction while leading the North Way Staff and Teaching Team.  He is the directional leader, a teaching pastor and serves on the Executive Leadership Team.   He was instrumental in starting the Emerging Leader Program at North Way.  He has been a key contributor leading North Way forward into the future by launching five campuses since 2007.  “Our desire is to be a healthy and growing church that makes a Kingdom Impact in this region…Freeing People to Follow Jesus,” said Pastor Scott.

Prior to his current role, Scott served as Executive Pastor and Leadership Pastor for nearly ten years at North Way Christian Community.  Pastor Scott has more than twenty years of ministerial service in the Pittsburgh region. Prior to joining North Way, he served at the Homestead United Presbyterian Church and Pleasant Hills Community Church concentrating on Student Ministry and Young Adults.

He earned his teaching degree at Edinboro University and taught for a number of years in the Pittsburgh Public School System.  He also attended Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and is currently completing his Masters of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

He serves on the Board of the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation an organization in the Pittsburgh area dedicated to training and developing youth pastors throughout the region as well as partnering with orphanages in Haiti.  His heart for Global Missions has recently taken him to Honduras, Haiti and China to observe Orphan Care ministry around the world.

Pastor Scott is a native Pittsburgher and lives in the North Hills with his wife, Tina, and their two daughters, Alyssa and Erin.

North Way was founded in 1981 and currently has more than 4,000 adults, students and children attending four North Way Campuses each week throughout the Pittsburgh region – in Wexford, Oakland, Sewickley Valley and East End.  Each location allows people to build strong relationships within their local community, while experiencing the same great worship and teaching that has been a part of North Way for more than thirty years.
